You know that phrase we’ve all gotten familiar with over the last few years? The one that goes “Economists are shocked, no one could possibly have seen this coming.” Whenever that excuse is trotted out it is never in reference to Peter Schiff. Schiff is not ever surprised. Schiff always sees it coming. He’s like the Chuck Norris of money. And here is a clip of him schooling some Flea Baggers. We hope their paying attention to the man. And have laid off the bong long enough to comprehend what he is saying.

OK, to avoid distraction, I watched with the sound off.
The idiot with the Mardi Gras mask on his head was also wearing something that wasn't mentioned here, the scarf. It seems to me that scarf is worn predominantly by Palestinians, or am I wrong?
Also, toward the end of the video, there was a guy in the shot between Mardi Gras head and Schiff that was wearing a shirt with Achmadinijad inside the circle with the slash through it. Kind of odd for this crowd.

I was glad to see Mr. Schiff Finally putting his hand up like mask-head was doing. That kinda crap p's me the eff off when it's been done towards me.
*I'd heard this mask referred to as a V mask before. I never saw the movie but i remembered the ads for it.
It's a Stylized mask of Guy Fawkes. I did not know that. Somehow a bit more in line with their aims I should think.
Their take on Fawkes as a hero for the people is somewhat skewed. They buy into the fallacy that he suicided rather than getting the Braveheart treatment.

Actually, corporations did do more to end slavery than governments. It was a publishing corporation which let the world read "Uncle Tom's Cabin," possibly the most powerful weapon of the Abolitionists' arsenal. Also, William Lloyd Garrison's "Liberator" journal - not sure if he was incorporated or operated individually, but it was certainly a business (personal aside - every day walking to work in Boston, I pass a bldg with a plaque marking the site where it was first printed.)
There were also countless Abolition societies, all of which were more in the way of non-profit corporations than government bureaus. That would make an interesting Master's thesis, wouldn't it?
Government did not act to end slavery until countless individuals prodded the South into secession, and slavery was finally ended as a means to preserve the Union. Only individuals made it a moral crusade.

But we have to give the wizard with the mask on his head credit where credit is due. He actually WAS right in one thing he said - "never argue with a fool". Schiff would do well to take that advice.
This character changes subjects every 8 seconds not so much because that is some kind of tactic, but rather because that is about the extent of his attention span. If he would stop and listen, he still would not learn anything - by the time Schiff got to the end of a sentence this glittering jewel of colossal ignorance would have forgotten what Schiff said at the beginning of the sentence.
Schiff would have a better chance imparting some intelligence to his dog.
That moron missed the chance of a lifetime to learn something but I'm sure he had no clue who he was ranting at. None. To him, Schiff was just a guy in a suit.

Ugh, I can't listen to this! He won't stop shouting into the mic at rapid speed. He changes topics every 8 seconds. He won't let Schiff talk at all. Any time Schiff begins to make a point, he jumps on something else. He randomly picks a tangential topic to focus on. As soon as his point is proved invalid, he moves on. It's painful to listen to - it's like hearing an open debate between two politicians.
If I were a teacher in a debate class, I'd fail him.
That can't be taught in any class. That's victim mentality bred in for several generations. Reinforced by the Democratic party and probably hammered into his head by his preacher in church. His fallback to blaming slavery proves that point.
