  So who in the government did tell “anybody” not to help those in need? Someone decided not to send in military assets to help those Agency operators. Would the secretary of defense make such a decision on his own? No.

  It would have been a presidential decision. There was presumably a rationale for such a decision. What was it? When and why—and based on whose counsel obtained in what meetings or conversations—did President Obama decide against sending in military assets to help the Americans in need?

  Because he didn't want anyone alive to testify about the secret arms shipments that were coming through the embassy?

• Well, at least Obumma will have plenty of (former) friends under the bus to keep him company.

• This has been bothering me today. If one of the guys calling for help had a gld targeting the mortar location, all this about needing to wade through massive conflicting info, worry about collateral damage and innocent bystanders being killed is political cya. The mortar site that was pounding them and eventually killed them was lit, they watched these people die.

  And if I hear 0 say "and bring these people to justice" one more time I may have to lay off the news for 48.

  • This is the same reason why our guys are being killed in Afghanistan. This administration wants to find a clean war and not piss anyone off. When this attack happened there should have been hell raining down from that ac130. Obama is just as guilty of the murder of the 4 Americans as al quida is.

• Of course General Petraeus spoke up. He was tired of the lying ass holes in this administration and not wanting to accept the blame for its disaster.
