I was on one of the first planes in the air after 9-11, we had planned a vacation in Cali.
Our original flight was cancelled and we had to book another one on a different airline. Sitting on the plane, waiting to leave the gate, security came on and took 3 Middle Eastern men off the plane. You could hear a collective sigh of relief from everyone, passengers, crew, etc. Talking to other guys on the flight, had it been a repeat performance of 9-11, there is a guarantee that it would have been no problem to get enough volunteers to rush the bums and pound them into blood pudding.
I'm pretty sure that this is a pervasive sentiment, and nobody will get away with that kind of attack again.
If I am going to die, at least die with the satisfaction that I beat the hell up of one of the terrorists.
Flight I was on on 9/17/2001 from Tokyo -- three middle-eastern looking people were looking shifty. They could just have been worried about getting the crap beat out of them, sentiments were high then.
Wife was worried about them, but I pointed out the 300-odd Marines getting on the plane with us, and said that I wasn't concerned at all -- if they pulled anything, we would then know how many flushes it takes to disembark a terrorist piecemeal via an airplane toilet. I'd even have started a betting pool. They'd have been part of a real Boeing Bomb...
Those marines were ready to go (when aren't they!) and had been held back for a week from their leave.
Our flight was on 9/15 and was supposed to be nonstop from Newark NJ to LAX. I figure they just decided to suspend all transcon nonstops at that time. I didn't even call Continental to find out if there was another option, I just found a flight out of Atlantic City on Spirit. BTW, I will never fly Spirit again. They started out good but have sunk so low that I'd rather fly Delta, and I'll never fly Delta again either!

Throw this fool in prison, put him in the general population and see how long he survives. This will save a lot of taxpayer's money. I'd say put him in Joliet, that's one of the most violent prisons in the USA.
I would love to have this occur when I'm on a flight. Someone would would be leaving the flight on a stretcher. Might be me, but I'd be OK with that.
I'm with you brother, no way would I sit there like a dumbfounded sheep waiting to see if someone with authority will do something, I'd be on that muzzie shit bag and crackin his skull. And probably be the one going to jail for it in this PC liberal society, but it wouldn't matter because I would have my self respect. The FBI is a hasbeen organization, with a bootlicker for leader. In that scenario if olivia was on the plane she'd be screaming at me calling me a racist.
