Politico: Barney Frank retiring

Politico: Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) will not run for re-election for a 17th term. He’ll hold a press conference at 1 pm ET to discuss his decision. Probably wants to spend more time with his family or something.

  • I want to question you guys on another subject. (seriously)
    If obomie decides not to run for re-election,. (I personally think his ego will require him to run but anyways) Do you think the American voters will vote in Billary, versus say Newt?
    And what happened to Cain???? All of the sudden he's not even in the polls anymore...

    • I think that if Barry does bow out, and the race is between Newt and Hillary, it'd be a tough call. Too many rough edges for Newt -- for some, they are an asset, and for others, they are deal-killers. That's why I think Slick Willie was endorsing him.

      What happened to Cain was a national disgrace. A host of unsubstantiated allegations all coming from the same two years in Chicago, of all places, calculated to take him out of the race rather than face the liberals' nightmare of not being able to label Republicans as racist in a race of black against white. These allegations play upon the racist meme of the oversexed black man unable to keep his hands off of white women. Disgusting tactic -- but apparently, it has some traction.

      • Thanks Perlcat!!
        Hillary promised us she was done with politics after Sec'ty of State. But then who ever believes them. Really too bad about Cain. I heard all that, and just rolled my eyes, but I guess too many of them still follow the LSM.
        Another thing bothers me. All these stories about how bad obomie is doing. He's pulling the demo party down to defeat. He can't be elected. He should just drop out. Are you smelling a rat like I am??

        • You know, dealing with Obama's type is a lot like dealing with my ex. If you always imagine the sorriest, sleaziest way any action they take can be interpreted -- and you'll be on the money as to motivation 99 times out of 100. It is all a prelude to a mugging.

    Dear Bwarney;

    Don't the let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. I know that might stimulate you but not the rest of us. I sincerely hope you either die of some hideous disease, or you body is found at the bottom of a stairwell in a bath house.

    Have a nice day

    The American Taxpayer

  • At least when ole Barney is taking it up the a#$, he'll be solo and not actively and/or metaphorically passing the reaming onto the US taxpayers.

    Though I'd sure other Democraps will be more than happy to take his place

  • Goodbye Barney, you can leave Congress knowing that you did your damnedest to wreck this republic. In a just nation you'd step out of the Capitol Buildng and into a jail cell.

    • Barney Frank is just 1 of many reasons to hate MA. They send the biggest peices of sh!t to capital hill, election after election after election.

  • May "Dances with Johnson's" be gone and may his boney ridden ass be painfully hit with the door on the way out.
