• That "97%" talking point is flaw. They took out individuals out of the study to inflate that percentage. There are even people who don't believe in ACC that took that survey that got results as on who believes in ACC.

  • Perhaps the number is derived from a "strawpulation" study that needed proctological assistance for them to produce.

• Yeah and the other 46% are trading pictures of a few receding glaciers on Facebook as if glaciers never move and that it proves AGW when they do. Really puts a crimp on the end of the last Ice Age and how that happened.

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always taught in school we were geologically at the tail end of a "little ice age" and by definition ice age means in part that the poles are covered in ice and the continents have glaciers.

    Now granted it was a long time ago and my memory isn't what it used to be but if we're coming out of an ice age by definition wouldn't the glaciers and ice caps be receding by default regardless of our puny attempts to "make them stop"?

    But hey, maybe it's just me, and it was a public education anyway. What do I know.

• I think the number is higher than 53 percent. people are getting tired of hearing about Globull Warming/Climate Change or whatever our idiot leaders call it. I think are lot of folks are realizing that the cost of energy is going to shoot higher than hell and they are worried and or pissed. And for the democraps/communist crowd this is only another wealth redistribution scheme.

• 97% of scientists who believe in anthropogenic global warming are doing so in order to keep their well-paying jobs. What the hell, if you paid me a few hundred grand a year I might be convinced too.

• The "97% of scientists" thing is a canard. It's like saying 97% of the movie fans who came to Tom Cruise's new movie because they got free tickets for being on Tom Cruise's payroll think Tom Cruise's new movie is great. If you do an IPCC/Gore type of condensed version of that, it reads "97% of movie fans think Tom Cruise's new movie is great." Okay, fine.
