I've always considered this pope to be one of the biggest flaming hypocrites on the planet and I have zero respect for him. If he goes by in a limo I will give him the finger just like I do democraps and RINO's in parades.
Gee, there is trouble in the world, so instead of doing something for family and friends, having nice get-togethers, and being grateful for what we have, they want us to be miserable?

In a way... let's be real... he has a point. The flashly lights and the carols and all of that does kind of sound hollow next to the awful wars and terrorism and all these horrible things that are going on in the world.
With that said, being that he is you know the POPE... perhaps he could muster a little HOPE into the situation. This is a time of remembrance that a Savior came to Earth to deal with our problems and sins (and that includes wars and terrorism) once and for all later on in His life, but decided to life a full life starting as a baby... We will have our day and our eternity where the Lord will satisfy our desires for peace. I don't know the entire speech, but if he ended with hope great, but if he ended in such a dour and sour note... he really needs to checks himself.

Yeah, typical anti-Christmas claptrap. Too commercial, too this, too that, and people are dying and miserable everywhere so nobody should be happy and celebratory. What a bunch of hopeless, baby-with-the-bathwater nonsense. He just hates any sign of commercialism because he's basically a frustrated communist tying to hide his hatred for western civilization. Fact is, in the midst of everything else that might be happening in the world, Christmas provides a spark of Heavenly spirit in an ALWAYS bleak world. And if this dumbass pope thinks we should wait until hunger and war--and Global Warming, his real god--are eliminated to celebrate Christmas, he's even more misguided than I thought.

I Read a story the other day that church officials are already thinking about the Pope's replacement. He is not making any friends among the staff at the Vatican.
