Isn't turning the river yellow racist against Asians? Maybe they can blame Jeb Bush for this... it has been a while since a Bush has been blamed for something happening 7 years after the last Bush was in office.
Just be careful not to refer to the river as "the yellow peril."
The EPA's eventual defense will be along the lines of 'Global Warming caused the water in the mine to expand and blow out the seals' or maybe that the mine owner boobytrapped it, or possibly that right wing terrorists sabotaged it; anything but the truth, which is that most government agencies are too incompetent and corrupt to screw in a light bulb.
And once again the losers in Congress will do nothing, nobody will get arrested or fired, and the he/she in charge will blame Bush.
Why shouldn't the EPA be allowed to investigate itself? It's good enough for the Iranians.

The EPA has already said the water in the Animas is safe, nothing to see here folks. My governor, Susana Martinez isn't buying that crap and she has the state EPA sampling the water and doing soil tests to back up the lawsuit New Mexico is planning to slap the arrogant assholes with.
The governor of the Navajo Nation already has a suit in the works, they want the EPA to furnish fresh water for drinking, crops and livestock for at least another year or until they deem the water safe for crops and drinking water again.
If a private company had done something as stupid as this they would be sued and fined out of existence and now it is time for the fools running the EPA to feel the pain of their own regulations. Up to and including the firing of all the EPA officials involved in this mess, right up to the head bull dyke in Washingtoon.
