So where are the separation of Church and State and the establishment of religion groups on this one? Now should a Christian or Jewish teacher request paid time off to travel to Jerusalem for either Passover or Good Friday, will they get it? No way. Where are the ACLU and all the other First Amendment advocates? The silence is deafening.
Only those that are Muslim will get this nice perk at the tax payer’s expense.
What's so odd about this story is that, to the best of my knowledge, a Muslim can make a pilgrimage to Mecca at any time during the year, meaning that this teacher could have waited until the summer to go without disrupting the school year. ("Mecca is too hot in the summer" is a lame excuse.)
If the religion involved in this case were anything other than Islam, the school probably would not have given in to her excessive demands.
Great now she can get a new Burka, and get a tattoo on her tongue, and her fingers and she can indoctrinate a bunch more kiddies on the religion or should I say SCAM of peace?
As a nurse, does that mean I can sue because I could not get off for ONE lousy day (Christmas) each year? Or all the Sundays I had to work, and couldn't even go to church? What about Ash Wednesdays, Rogation Fridays, ALL of holy week. Most employers won't give that much time off until you have been employed with them for years, and according to the Union, no one else got that privilege, so how is it discrimination. This is exactly what I mean about the creeping threat of Islam. THey are repeatedly sending up test cases and seeing how far they can go to get us to bow down to their commands. And once the get get a voting majority, we are all screwed.
Oh good, when I get my teaching job, I'll be sure to let them know I need 15 minutes every day for the 3:00 pm Rosary, a few hours for First Friday devotions every month, and a half hour in the mornings for a continuous Novena to St Jude.

If ANYTHING has to do with MUSLIMS, then it's an automatic "Yes you can do anything you please or want while OButtstain is in office". Americans don't count, it has to be an act of God for them to get anything. I bet if I filled out an application stating I was a Afgan muslim I would "automatically" get government assistance, a job, a loan, just anything I want. I have a friend who is badly disabled. They were turning down his applications for almost anykind of assistance. He started putting down he was a HISPANIC and has NEVER been turned down for anything since then. Think I'll change my name to Garcia.
It only works to a point. My surname is Hispanic, but I am white. As soon as they see me, all help vanishes.
