Racist L.A. Clippers owner is a liberal Democrat scheduled to be honored by the NAACP. Funny how mainstream media news sources are failing to mention that.

  • You know is interesting. Even though I do believe that Bundy is an ignorant fool, what really destroyed him was that he went public with his bigotry/racism OR else he didn't express what he wanted to say correctly or he is just simply a bigot/racist and it came out exactly as he thought in his mind. If he had kept things private, he would not have been done for. He needs to be held accountable because of his PUBLIC statements and actions. Bundy was no hero beyond what he said because he also broke the law and felt himself entitled to not pay taxes because of who he is. So he is a mess...

    Now moving on to this guy. I know that he did do actions that were discriminatory in nature in the past so he isn't an innocent victim here, what bothers me though is that he didn't pay a price in the public arena for those PUBLIC actions and words in the past... he is paying a price in the public arena for the PRIVATE words and ideas that he expressed privately to a confidant. Regardless of him being okay with being taped or not, I am sure that he did not consent for that recording to be out in public. These were his private thoughts and words in his home or his office not in the public arena.

    I don't feel TOO BAD for him because of his PUBLIC ACTIONS & WORDS in the past, but if he had not exercised his obvious racism/bigotry in public in the past, I would be VERY leery and concerned about this. Well... I am still, but not as strongly as I would be if he had not shown this actions in public in the past.

    I think that Mark Cuban was correct and it is too bad he took his words back. It is a slippery slope. If people will be punished in the public arena and their constitutional rights of thoughts and ideas be trampled on because of something they do and think in PRIVATE, this is not good for all Americans.

    He is being punished for his thoughts and his words in private... someone betrayed his trust and now he is being punished for that... that doesn't make me feel right. However does he deserve it for the past actions?... perhaps don't know.

    I do agree that we all have a right to be bigots and discriminatory and even racist if we want to be and even in the public arena if we want to be.

    All in all, Bundy was speaking and representing himself with the TEA Party and the Conservative movement and since his actions and words do not represent the core beliefs then yes absolutely he should not be allowed to speak for us, he should be placed in the fringe where he belongs.

    This dude is actually a registered Republican but he stands for and by Democratic and Progressives agendas. He is part of the right group lol. He represents them well.

    My Mother said something sage last night. Maybe he sees that she is hanging around CERTAIN people who happen to be Black but their behaviors and their words are suspect or gross or stupid or low class or whatever and he was telling her he is not into that, but instead of being SPECIFIC he used general "Black people". That is a possibility. I don't know. He went beyond though with his white rich entitled attitude. The guy is a jerk all around.

    • I've been trying to verify that Sterling is a registered Republican. So far the only basis for that claim is a Tweet, with no backup documentation, a Tweet which Daily Kos then ran with as though it was verified fact. I believe California voter registration files are private so there is no way to verify or challenge the claim that he's a registered Republican. Seems awfully convenient for Democrats who are watching another one of their crowd reveal his inner racist.

      We do know his only political contributions were to Democrat candidates, and he's supported numerous liberal causes.

          And like I said, everything comes from that same Tweet including the Mother Jones claim. Which you have to admit is a strange place for everybody to be getting their information. This is journalism? One guy Tweets something with no documentation and everybody else runs with it? Then MJ claims to have checked themselves and provides a screen shot from some other yahoo (why would you need someone else's screen shot if you checked yourself?) that doesn't even have Sterling's name on it. If you can really check someone else's party affiliation in Sterling's place of residence, then why can't one single news source provide documentation of his being a registered Republican?

          • Has a house in Malibu also (could have moved too, I pulled easy public stuff in a hurry). What DOB did you use? And could all his 'legal' stuff still be under his born name and Sterling just a public persona? Just fishing when I walk by the 'puter, and enjoying being outside in the sun while I can.

        • ok. At the risk of sounding a bit racist myself, I ask you: He is a very wealthy Jew. What are the chances he is NOT Democrat? As far as voter registration being "private" I have to say, they may not reveal how someone actually voted, but I bet if you went and asked for a list of Registered Democrats for fundraising purposes, they would have the list in your hand before you finished asking for it!

  • As disgusting and racist that Sterlings comments are. I've got a very pressing and interesting question. Where's the out crying about the music being played in the locker rooms and practices? Rap/ Hip Hop degrades women, gays, whites, hispanics. Yet there's a pass giving for this. Hell a team is owned by one of the biggest perpetrator of this very thing. Jay Z.

    So, the next time a star player assaults his wife/ girlfriend will the usual shit stirs demanded that he be fired and banned from the NBA, NFL or any other pro sport?

  • He's an idiot. LORD, I seem to be saying that a lot! Anyway, he sounds like a spoiled child trying to pick a fight. The languages c was offensive. But somehow, I don't think this is the first time. And I note not one p ok Ayer on his team was willing to quit the team. Guess those paychecks he gives out for food and houses and cars is just too good to walk away from.

      You are so correct about Sterling. With a few simple mouse clicks, it can be found that he's been sued and settled several housing discrimination suits. He did win his suit against Eldgen Baylor, you guessed it. For racial discrimination. It's a known fact throughout the NBA ownership circles that he's a racist and a bigot. It's also a known fact that he's a slum lord as well.

      The sugar baby is reportedly shopping the rights to a book she hopes to write. Therefore her motivations are called into question. Was she worried that the wife is going to cut off the cash flow and there goes the life style of the rich and whores for her.

  • Donald Sterling has been an utter embarrassment for a very long time. He's owned the Clippers forever, & finally has a decent team that is worth watching. But he's the story with these ass backward remarks, & in a weird way, that's how he likes it. But don't kid yourselves, he isn't going anywhere, & this will blow over & be forgotten soon. If his club can win the title, it will be all good & this will be ancient history.

    And I don't know what the NBA's ownership agreements are, but I know MLB did it to Marge Schott. And even though she was a s#!tty person, a mediocre tightfisted no knowledge owner and it was MY team, I disagreed with it then too.

  • Democrats don't care about racism any more than Al Gore cares about whether the electricity in his mansions comes from windmills and solar panels. It's just a means to an end, a way to manipulate the gullible into voting for them. Occasionally they let the mask slip and allow everyone to see it.
