• Chik-fil-a values are not Chicago values? Really? Your average 5 year old could have figured THAT out. Besides, Chik-fil-a is a restaurant chain. It HAS no values (sort of like Corporartions don't feel greed.) Mr Cathy has expressed HIS personal belief. It's his business and he can do what he wants. Evryone told him he couldn't survive if he cloed on Sundays. NOT. Evry Chik-fil-a I ahve ever seen is packe d and frequently "wrapped" on the drive through. Oh, he built this on his own!

• Here's a theoretical question. Line up a hundred Christian business owners in Chicago, and a hundred Muslim business owners. Take a poll, how many don't care if a gay couple gets married or not? Then ask how many of each group think gay couples should have their heads removed? Then I think you'll have some idea which religion is evil.

  • It always puzzles me how certain people will decry what they see as Christian bigotry and intolerance toward gays and women, yet utter not a peep about Muslim bigotry and intolerance toward same.

    • uhm, just a point here, and I recognize not everybody believes Jesus is who he said he is:
      Jesus did not abolish the law, he fulfilled it. He did commuted the death sentence of the adulterous woman for his own reasons, not least of which the decided lack of justice in such an execution because the other guilty party was not there to share the judgment of God's holy law.
      God imposed those Laws for our benefit, to teach us how to live, but many traditions, and customs of men impeded God's perfect law, which was codified in stone w/Moses, but given to man through the prophets and the patriarchs, remember, God spoke directly to Noah, and Job.
      Jesus wants us to hate, and abhor sin. He's trying to teach us how to live blessed righteous lives, and there are some things that are so heinous, well, if you taught it to a child you'd be better off having a millstone tied about your neck and be dropped into the ocean.

• Do you think it occurs to Rahm that the breakdown of marriage and the family and fatherlessness has a significant tie in to the carnage in his city? I don't hate people of the homosexual orientation but I do oppose so-called gay marriage. I admit that I try to patronize Chick-fil-A because they are under attack from liberals quite often. Some don't like it that they won't open on Sunday. I like their chicken sandwiches and waffle fries.

• This is also the same shit-ty that granted a zoning waiver so a mega strip club could be built and opened across the street from a Catholic convent. Shit-cago has no values. That is why I left that shit-ty as soon as I could.

  And I'm sure Rham-a-lahma-ding-dong (as well as the idiot mayor of Boston) is shutting down all the Muslim owned eateries, shops, etc. in their respective "tolerant" cities since they don't exactly like gays, either!

  • Maybe they should make every restaurant owner in the city sign an affidavit, to be made public, stating what their views are on gay marriage. Maybe even on a wide variety of topics, so we can possibly throw ALL restaurants out of the city.
