My EBT the Rap! We’re a bit conflicted about this video. On one hand it seems to promote a lifestyle that punishes the tax payers and keeps its “beneficiaries” beholden to the state and trapped in a hardly ever ending cycle of disappointment and failure. On the other this guy is pretty damn funny and his song is likely to do more to raise awareness about the problem of massive welfare fraud than any number of articles appearing in Townhall or Reason Magazine. Be warned, this video contains some explicit lyrics.

You called welfare mothers "fictitious" the other day, didn't you? Are you really so gullible that you think there aren't some welfare mothers and deadbeats living off the government? Haven't you lived long enough to understand human nature a little better? You're so hardened in your liberal ideology that you seem to think every person on welfare is an honorable down on his or her luck saint. Star Parker writes about being a welfare mom who would lay on the couch, eat and get pregnant. This guy raps about it. But you won't accept it because it goes against your ideology and you won't admit that conservatives can be right about anything. Doesn't Obama and every President keep talking about how much fraud is costing the nation ?

I think you're really onto something here. I'm starting to question the veracity of everything a song has been written about. For example . . . The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald . . . I don't think that ever happened. The British never sank the Bismark. Medgar Evers is still alive. The vandals didn't take the handles. And yes, they have bananas today!

Welfarism. It's one of the isms. As my sophomore HS history teacher once said, you can seek to define it in specific terms (if you wish). Feudalism, Fascism, Communism, etc. But the bottom line in ANY ism is that it signifies "a way of life".
This homeboy was raised on government and he internalized a mentality that states, "I'm gonna get me what's mine". It is deeper than any video can express and it knows no racial boundaries. Because I can take you to old dead and dying coal mine towns in Appalachia and you will find the same way of life, only the colloquialisms and accents are different.

When I first started watching it I almost expected to see James O'Keefe jump out in a pimp costume and show that it was all a joke. Yet, as I watched the video, I began to realize there was going to be no James O'Keefe.
I have no idea what the intent or purpose of these videos are. Muckraking? Trolling? Trying to become a youtube sensation and make some money? I don't know, but they still kinda funny, sad, but funny.
It's borderline self-actualization.. his next rap will be: Hey, wait a minute. Maybe I'll do a rap "ID Theft" - but then how is this different? Someone running up a tab on my money?
Yeah, this video really highlights just how taxpayers are getting ripped off by the majority of people who get food stamps. The only problem is that the people who do what this guy in the video is doing, will think this is hilarious and consider themselves smart for getting over, at someone's else's expense. Nobody is embarrassed at having to be on "the dole" anymore. They seem to revel in it nowadays.
The people that enjoy the lifestyle are digging it because they're getting over on the MAN. The money comes from the government, so it ain't hurting no-boddy, no my sane? Much like the 'Turbo Tax' parties in Tampa which are still in the process of stealing hundreds of millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars through bogus IRS filings. They ain't hurtin no-boddy either, cuz the government prints money. That's just how it is and why would we want to change such a simple arrangement?
