How hard is that to understand or are you afraid you'll piss someone off and lose your job? Asshole, you were hired and you can be fired.

It makes no sense to me, but then I'm just a small time employer. I'd rather have someone working for me that speaks clear English, knows what they're doing, and I can trust on a job site to do the work I tell them, and not steal everything that isn't nailed down.

Yes, stealing dirt and rocks won't get them much on the dope market nowdays. another thing, when there are 15 of them living in a 2 BR apt. the rent is looks like a welfare siesta. @ $40 a head, it's easy to come up with. They steal that much in one day. Things come up missing if it's not locked, welded or cemented down.
When I was a carpet installer, I challenged the superintendent of a new housing tract to find me a straight, plumb wall, anywhere in the place. I told him I'd do the labor of installing one entire home's carpet if he could find one. Never heard from him again.

When installing any type of laminate or hardwood flooring, you NEVER come out even on the other side of the room! As it is, you have to start off by scribing the wood to the start wall, because it's wavy! Then, when you get to the other side of the room, you are not only scribing to make up for the waves, but also there is as much as a 4" difference in the width of the room from one end to the other!
Speaking of square. I used to build cabinets too. Same thing with trimming them out. You had to scribe the trim to make it look right. Some floors can be a real pain in the a** too. Homes are no longer built like they were 40 yrs. ago. Quality has went to shit. Believe me, if mexicans are doing the work, you have to literally babysit them to make sure it's done right. They claim they can do it right. I say if you're building a SHACK like you live in down mexico way, yes, you do it that way, but not on my job you won't.
They can build real well, just like the corrugated steel shacks you see in Cuba.
I've worked several construction jobs where you could count English speakers on one hand minus the thumb. I constantly had to go back, rip the finished work out, and do it over myself, keep your tools locked up at all times or on your body and guard the materials that might walk away. It's called 'Welcome to the building trades of ARIZONA.' Meanwhile I paid taxes on my pay while the cockroaches made $3 an hour less and were paid CASH. This is a big reason while I'm against amnesty. Oh, and had 3 vehicles stolen (2 never recovered), they moved to mexico I guess. We were the car theft capitol in the nation at one time. I notice the mexican police drive many American made cars.
