    • I wish the vote in Scotland was like you claim but it doesn't appear that way to me. Scottish representatives in Parliament actually lean more to the left than in the rest of the UK. That's why the Labour Party is having a cow about losing Scotland - if the Scots leave, suddenly the conservatives will have a nearly impregnable majority. That can only be a good thing for the UK as a whole, possibly even leading to departure from the EU.

    • Sadly I feel like the movement of the Atheists will continue to help this as well. Since the Atheists are of the mindset of not wanting a religion to "oppress" them, which is more often than not Christianity, they will not defend anything taking that regligion down. Hence the rise of a more oppressive religion into power.

      • Atheists usually have no good things to say about Islam. They are a minority so they probably have no political nor numerical pull to make a difference. I don't see any atheists actually not doing anything to refute Islam. A few years ago not sure where in Europe atheists and muslims actually went on a confrontation that ended in a scuffle. Even on the road of wanting ALL religions to die out, atheists tend to be at the vanguard of: "let's get rid of Islam first" mantras.
