Great, having a high performance sports car in Hawaii, where you can drive about 90 minutes before you hit the coast. Makes sense to me.
You can only drive 60mph in two spots on in the state, I think. One before the end of H1 going toward Ko'olina past Makakilo, and another on a stretch of H3 between PEarl Harbor and KBay. Other than that, speed limit is 50-55 on the "interstate".
I'm on Kauai right now. So far I've hit one spot that goes to 50! It's very short lived and then back to the 25 or 35 like the rest of the island.
Yep. And watch out for when it rains. No one can drive in the rain. It might smash through their windshields and kill them.
And the potholes.... Would not be pretty driving a car that's much lower to the ground than the Altima we rented!
Couple years ago, people were suing because the water from all the rain disguised the potholes and broke their axles driving over them.

You know what sucks. We had a GOP governor 4 years ago. She was even reelected. Things got better. But we had a budget snafu and she instituted furlough Friday's for all state services to fix the gap. That's what people remembered. Not all the good she did. So then her Lt Gov, also GOP, got hit, too, when he tried to run the last two times. At least Ambercrombie is gone, and Ige seems 100% better.
