Russia accidentally posts real Crimean election results. Instead of 97% voting in favor of annexation with 83% turnout, the actual result was 50% in favor with only 30% turnout. So Russia annexed Crimea based on 15% of voters… or less, because many of the yes votes may have come from the Russian soldiers standing outside the polling places with Kalishnikovs

I am fluent in Russian, and have 95% understanding of Ukrainian. The subtitles are accurate.
The vid gets especially disturbing after 9:00. What is most telling is that the people describing the spray paint attack on a woman video-ing in Kiev, and the subsequent beating of her husband with a bat, is that the people are speaking Russian.
THAT is what is going on there. The word for it may not be genocide yet, but it soon will be. THAT is what our administration is supporting.
And that is why the sooner the Russians take the eastern, mostly Russian-speaking provinces out of this hell, the better off those people will be.

I still have relatives in that eastern part of Ukraine, near Kharkov. I am not in touch, and don't know them. They may know that they have someone related in the USA - my mother's 2nd cousin in Australia has been in touch with them. But the situation still hits home.
We all have a connection to our roots. I have never been to Sicily, but still have a place in my heart for it, and am interested in what I can learn about it.
