San Bernardino files for bankruptcy protection. …and another one bites the dust. In the past three weeks Stockton, Mammoth Lakes and now San Bernardino have filed for bankruptcy. I wonder if you can get odds in Vegas on what California city is next?

Hey - a few years ago we had the illustrious Lelend Yee come up with a bill requiring all state offices that are new or remodeled to have a feng shui expert set them up. Talk about jacking-off while Rome burns, Sacramento makes the ancient Romans look like they were on top of it.

Not quite Silent. Mammoth Lake had an agreement with a land developer to put a hotel at the airport. As things turn out, the FAA won't let the hotel be built. So the developer sued the city. The city's budget is about $2.8 million, where the suit is for $46 million. (It is a dinky little town) I have not heard anything about irresponsible spending, pensions, nor unions in this bankruptcy one way or the other.
Yea I read about them losing a lawsuit..But..Not to be a turd on this, Shouldn't the city leaders have cleared this with the FAA before saying it's a done deal? Sounds like someone in the city did not do their due diligence.
You would have certainly thought so. And you would think that the land developer would have done due diligence. And you would have thought somebody would have spoken with the airport.
