Saudi Arabia finally lets women drive. Sounds like their clerics already have about 1/2 the intellect and that’s giving them credit. Sheikh Saad al-Hajari should go on a drive with Danica Patrick some time.
Saudi clerics ultimately believe female drivers “undermine social values” and lack the “intellect” to navigate the nation’s roadways.
“Would you give a man with half an intellect a driving licence?” Sheikh Saad al-Hajari, head of the Saudi government’s religious edict authority in the southern province of Assir, alleged at a lecture earlier this month.
“So how would you give one to a woman when she has half an intellect?” he said,

Looks like Saudi men are taking this change in stride, with typical Muslim open-mindedness and tolerance:
"I swear to God, any woman whose car breaks down—I will burn her and her car."
Those are the moderates. The rest of them are getting busy planting IEDs and waiting in ambush.

They're probably still required to have a male family member with them at all times.
The part they didn't tell us is that driver's ed is going to cost 4 camels and 3 goats per student.

There are no virgin goats in Saudi Arabia.
Using the Saudi clerks own reasoning: what happened to the brains of men who think they are women and suck other men off for money? Is their brain reduced in size? May be only half of it functions?
What does that link have to do with Saudi women driving cars?
They bolt them into the seat? Fify.
Hopefully they can check their side mirrors with a hijab hanging past their eyes on the side or it could get ugly.
I'm going to patent "Hijab Side Mirrors" Sell them on Saudi TV with informercials at nite.
"Tired of changing lanes and hitting camels? Try our new Hijab Side Mirrors. "
And it took them only 1400 years! (although you may hear whispering about 'slippery slopes' from some* Muslim scholars).
*By 'some' I mean 'almost all'.
