School apologizes for shouting “USA! USA!” at basketball game. Somehow, some way, the school district decided that shouting “USA!” at an American sports event is a racial insult. The fact that the school’s name is “Alamo Heights” adds a touch of delicious irony to this nonsensical exercise in political correctness, doesn’t it?

At the risk of sounding bigoted, I've never seen many Hispanics who were...very tall. So I'm impressed that there was a basketball team made up of, supposedly, Hispanics.
This is San Antonio after all. The ratio of white to hispanic and black in the city is about 1 to 125,000. I'm surprised they could field a team of all white kids, much less fill a school with them. Unless the military bases in town send all their kids to that school.

These are American students being told to apologize for chanting USA after their team which is mostly white beat a team that consists of mostly minorities and the other team was offended? This has to be the work of the teachers union making it to where kids cannot chant USA USA USA welcome to the indoctrination of your children by the communist liberial regime.
Given the name of the school, "Alamo Heights," it seems to me that shouting USA would be thea natural result of knowing the history of the Alamo... and I don't see any harm in that. They're kids. They won. They're happy. Shouting something that reflects the name of their school is a fairly harmless reaction.
If a mostly hispanic team beat my kid's team and shouted, "Remember the Alamo!" I'd probably laugh. Maybe that's just me. I'd tell my kid, "Hey, they beat you, they get to woof a bit."
I'm surprised anyone's allowed to "beat" anyone else these days.
