I read this stroy on another site, and turns out they not only would not let her sit in a car (which still would have been freaking cold) but they wouldn't let her go across the street to the elementary school. Her fellow students offered bits of clothing and huddled around her, trying to provide some heat and protection. They were the only ones thinking that day!
After a two-year trial, we just put our daughter back in private school. Catholic school nearby. She is a sixth grader so it isn't too late to undo the damage the public school system inflicted on her. I cannot believe how awful the system is. Combination of NCLB and Common Core is devastating to our kids. I joined the church too. I was raised an Episcopalian but it has become the Common Core of religions with its intractable schism. I haven't regularly attended church in years but for my kid's sake I'll gladly return and give it a try.
I was raised Catholic, but became turned off by the stodgy attitude. My ex-wife was Lutheran, and I went to church with her. The services are quite similar, but the attitude is much better. The service is much looser and interesting than the plain old scripture reading.
You might both do well in the Episcopal church: The VIA MEDIA. or middle way. I left the Baptists years ago, couldn't quite make it to Catholic and I have been Episcopalian now for some 40 years. Its not perfet, since its run by people, but we try. And there are some marked differences in opinions dependant on where you live and worship.
In the midwest we Lutherans we called "catholic light"....The only advantage I could see when I was young was that the catholic's got forgiven before they sinned on Saturday night, we had to wait to we were hungover on Sunday morning...:)
The principal was not available for comment says it all about these authoritarian goons. But because they belong to the union, it will be the taxpayers who take the hit.
And nobody will even be fired.
The stupidity of the school system results in ignorant decisions which bring on rightful law suits and it results in the dumb bastards begging for more tax dollars for the schools.
It's a vicious cycle perpetuated by liberals.
WTF, the whole administration needs to be removed, teachers and coaches fired. Every last one of them should be arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor. The parents need to file suit against the school, the school board and every single person who had the slightest inter-action with her.

That's pretty much what I posted yesterday on the first site I saw this on. Nobody seemed any too happy about what these sub-morons did to this girl.

Back in my freshman year of college I got appendicitis. No complications and caught it early, but still had a hole in my gut that made walking and bending over difficult for a few days. Now, I'll mention I lived on the top floor of a 14 story dorm.
So a couple days after I got back, they decided to have a fire drill. Even better, no one was allowed to use an elevator. So the siren went off and I stayed in my room. A guy came by and told me to leave. Told him to f--- off (politely). Took about 5 minutes of arguing to convince him that forcing me to tear my stitches would be a very bad thing.
Despotic rule of schools leads me to believe The more letters after your name, the lower the individual intelligence.
Next time there is a drill, the principal has to stand outside for 10 minutes in his trunks, sopping wet.
