Jim Moran (D-VA) says that President Obama should “refinance every home mortgage” without bothering to ask congressional idiots (like himself) in order to “reset the economy.” Why not just burn down the Reichstag and declare emergency powers? It worked once before.

Our currency is Fiat, and thus the value decreases when we print money. Print 3T to cover all the new mortgages, and the cost of gasoline for your government SUV will triple.
Furthermore, the world will see us as morons, and once and for all stop buying our debt, as they will know that John/Jane Q Public, won't pay their gubment mortgage any better than the one to Chase. So there will be 3T of new money printed that the G is just flushing down the toilet.
Further to that, renters will bitch that Uncle Sam bought the other guys houses for them-and they will need a rent bail out-or a car loan bail out.
