• This dissappeared out of the news especially with this polar vortex stuff... what happened to these bozos? I find this polar vortex stuff to be hilarious as we... even though of course I feel sorry for those affected who aren't idiots like these bozos in the ship.

• This just keeps getting better. Apparently 2 "rescue" ice breakers now need to be rescued since they are trapped in the non existent ice as well.

  Talk about denialism. And now we see that climate change activism is another sacred subject, only ever to be mentioned by the ABC and others in a serious and affirming way.
  Annoyed by sacrilegious online mockery, the Guardian fumed about “climate sceptics who have taken to social media sites in recent days to attack the scientific consensus on climate change”. No! Not the great and holy consensus! Blasphemy!
  The curious thing is, many of the same media types who fret about climate change killing people in few hundred years are also the least inclined to worry about extreme Islamism killing people right now. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to the day a Muslim terrorist hijacks an Antarctic climate research ship. You won’t read a word about it.

• Understand they are stuck in 'old ice' from an 'old iceberg'. Let me get this right how can they be stuck in 'old ice' as I thought global warming had melted all of that. LOL LOL

  • Prof. Chris Turney, head of climate pseudo-science at UNSW, and his fellow awarmists who were stuck in unexpected ice, bleat that they were trapped by “old ice”; rescuers in the ice-breakers and real researchers from the Australian Antarctic Division, who knew that ice was increasing, asserted that all the ice was “new ice”.
    Whom would you choose to believe? pseudo-scientific nitwits or genuine experts? It’s a tricky one, I know.

• Is it just me, or does anyone else notice that every year (lately), the National Weather Service or some national hurricane expert body predict hurricamegeddon every year? And most of the time, they are spectacularly wrong?

  This past season, it was the usual 25 named storms, with 5-7 making landfall, and 2-3 being cat 4 or 5. And what did we get? One tropcal storm (not even a hurricane) made landfall in the US.

  And when they are right, it's pretty close to what they predicted.

  (Note: if they are randomly wrong, the laws of probability dictate that there would be an approximately equal number of over-estimations and under-estimations. Does anyone remember a year when there were more hurricanes than they predicted? I don't.

  Carry on an agenda much?)

• If they're not careful, they're gonna end up with a whole fleet of ships stuck down there. Hopefully they get stuck in the same general area so they can walk back and forth, share supplies, fraternize, and discuss the evils of Global Warming as they all freeze to death.
