• The main problem is that these government assholes (redundancy) and union criminals (yep another) have never run and business nor signed a paycheck on the front in their worthless lives. Yet they consider themselves business experts. In fact, they along with 95% of "business" professors couldn't run a pay shithouse.

• Idiots all. Even without the above reasoning, the simple fact is raising the minimum wage increases costs and decreases profit. That increase will cause elimination of positions or a raise in price to make up the difference. Owner are not in business because they are bored. The (rightly) expect to make a profit!

• A: I could see this coming because the vast majority of minimum wage workers are members of the Free Shit Army. There was a study awhile back that showed some members of the FSA with a few kids were better off overall at a dead end job as long as they had Medicaid, EBT, WIC, rental assistance, utility assistance, along with all the other freebies, than a college educated individual with a degree at an entry level position based on the sum of their wages along with the amount of benefits received over the course of a year against the graduate's entry level salary.
