Seven Killed, 29 Wounded In City Shootings Over Weekend. It seems rather strange we have riots with the police in full force and the National Guard being called up over one person killed in Ferguson, yet nobody appears to give a shit about what goes on in Chicago weekend after weekend.

Both of you are directly on point. As I've said before, these people only show outrage when it's a white cop shooting a minority. It seems to me that there is a prevalent attitude of "You can't shoot our people, only WE can shoot our people"!
If this had been another thug shooting this guy, it would have been no more than a 2 line blurb on page 27 of the paper, in the police blotter column.
The coach had put together the perfect team for the Chicago Bears. The only thing that was missing was a good quarterback. He had scouted all the colleges and even the Canadian and European Leagues, but he couldn't find a ringer who could ensure a Super Bowl win.
Then, one night while watching Fox News he saw a war-zone scene in the West Bank . In one corner of the background, he spotted a young Israeli soldier with a truly incredible arm. He threw a hand-grenade straight into a 15th story window 100 yards away.
KABOOM!
He threw another hand-grenade 75 yards away, right into a chimney.
KA-BLOOEY!
Then he threw another at a passing car going 90 mph.
BULLS-EYE!
“I've got to get this guy!” Coach said to himself. “He has the perfect arm!”
So, he brings him to the States and teaches him the great game of football. And the Bears go on to win the Super Bowl.
The young man is hailed as the great hero of football, and when the coach asks him what he wants, all the young man wants is to call his mother.
“Mom,” he says into the phone, “I just won the Super Bowl!”
“I don't want to talk to you,” the old woman says. “You are not my son!”
“I don't think you understand, Mother,” the young man pleads. “I've won the greatest sporting event in the world. I'm here among thousands of my adoring fans.”
“No! Let me tell you!” his mother retorts. “At this very moment, there are gunshots all around us. The neighborhood is a pile of rubble. Your two brothers were beaten within an inch of their lives last week, and I have to keep your sister in the house so she doesn't get raped!” The old lady pauses, and then tearfully says,
“I will never forgive you for making us move to Chicago.”

Slow weekend in the windy city, but hey it is only Black on Black violence or Hispanic on Black violence or Hispanic on Hispanic or Black on White Violence...however had it been the police doing the shootin', the fine upstanding members of the community would have been out in force stealing shoes and alcohol to show their displeasure.
Years ago we joked in Stockton that we needed to take all the gangsters, put them in a football stadium at both ends, pile all the confiscated guns in the middle, and scatter ammo around to make it more fun, and them let them shoot it out, put it on pay per view at 29.95 and we shoot the winners when they leave..problem solved all at once...
All you have in Chitcago like most major and medium sized democrap controlled communities is gangsters with guns....And I bet none of them are registered....But heaven forbid some normal person wants to buy a gun for protection in Chitcago...The police would be checking everything including your colon to find a reason to deny your second amendment rights.
Fuck em. Let them shoot each other, race baiters like Sharpton and Jackson are too busy are too busy elsewhere looking for dollars to give a shit about Chitcago... They are hanging out with the lootin'-tootin' fiends of Michael Brown.
Why I carry! Plain and simple-the left want the shootings in Chicago-suits their narrative. They want it in every city. They want your guns-they'll take your guns-you just wait till the day after your guns are forcibly taken-the crime rate will skyrocket-and you'll be a target, no matter where you live! It's mostly confined to the inner city where gangs operate freely-but when we are all disarmed, they will be everywhere, killing everyone, with complete impunity!
