I could see a role for Obama at Mt. Rushmore. Wearing an apron and serving coffee at the Mt. Rushmore Cafe. It might be the first job he has ever had that he was qualified for.

There was a cartoon that was around many years ago , when I was a child called " Hercules ". There the gods lived on Mt. Olympus . I've done a little research and have found that there are 4 such named mountains , here in this very country .
What greater honor could we bestow upon the little man god himself , than to set up a few urinals on top of each peak , so his faithful could make the pilgrimage and leave an offering , worthy of their life's contribution .

Think about it, there are still many in Kenya who maintain that Obama was in fact born in Mombasa, Kenya. It does'nt matter that the MSM has destroyed the birthers, & that what was presented was sketchy at best. Many believe he was born in Kenya, many of them Kenyans, & they will honor him.

I kinda wondered about this too. TR was one of those "progressives" though, and along with originating the national park system, he also started up a lot of federal activism. He was most famous, I believe, for the Pure Food & Drug Act, which was the start of the FDA. Considering the way food was handled in those days, particularly meat processing, I can't really fault that as a bad idea.

It was a bit saddening when I found that TR (for me at least) could not live up to the image I had of him. He had just seem like such a kick-ass (literally) guy.
It makes you wonder what hit that switch in his head and made him go from a staunch conservative type, to a progressive.

I haven't looked at Kip's links yet but my understanding is that he was quite a thug when he was chief of the New York City police department. He was sickly as a child and I wonder if he wasn't overcompensating as an adult.

If somewhere there's a monument for failed Presidents (James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Millard Fillmore) then there's room for Barack Obama. But maybe not, Buchanan, Johnson and Fillmore might have been failures but they loved their country, I don't think Obama does. America building a monument to Obama would be like the Norwegians building a monument to Vidkun Quisling.
