Some Ford lines may be heading to Mexico

• Trump brought this up in his speech in Phoenix yesterday. Ford is building a 2.5 BILLION dollar plant in Mexico to build cars, trucks and parts. Where is the Obummer administration on this? Why isn't our own gooberment working with Ford to get the plant built in America for American workers?

  I also like Trumps idea of negotiating with Ford. He said Ford should be able o build their plant anywhere they want but the government was going to tax them 35% of the retail value of all cars, trucks and parts brought into this country. Now, that is an incentive to build in America for Americans if I ever heard one.

  • When I ordered my Ford F-350 diesel in '02, I specifically told the dealer that my truck was to be built in Louisville. They already had a truck plant in Mexico, and I would NOT have accepted delivery if it was built there.

    • I had a 88 Jetta GTI, last year they were made in Germany for the US. That car went 500,000 miles before it puked. From 89 on the made in Mexico ones were pieces of crap.

  They should reprise the Pinto for Mexican sales only.

    • You ain't lived until you've had the pleasure of putting a starter in a Pinto, gotta drop the rack and pinion steering to do it. I also had a 73 Mustang II, a Pinto with a 302, now their was some pain and suffering.
      PS, the Mustang had the same starter problem, especially fun at 20 below zero.

    • Remember the Pinto station wagon, You could get it customized like a tiny little van with side panels and moon windows and a fancy paint job.. My friend had one...I refused to ride in it, but then at the time I had a 55 Chevy two door that was all fixed up and would lift the front end off the ground when you stepped on the gas.....I can still see that kinda rainbow colored little thing driving down the street......It was ugly......

      • Thank god mine lasted about 6 months before the tranny blew ( sorry Bruce/Caitlyn ) and fixing it would cost more than car was worth. I bought a used Camaro to replace it. Much better!

• Might as well move to Mexico, after all Mexico sent us all their criminals so it's probably safer there than here.
