Interesting. Clearly the $600,000 suspected robbery is now merely a case of a misplaced $200,00 in cash, because the checks are all still there, uncashed. Even the $200,000 wasn't taken, just jammed into a wall. Weird. I'm guessing either a thief who had an attack of conscience before he even got out of the building (maybe an encounter with Jesus in the hallway?), or a church worker who wanted to get home to see a football game and got behind on his envelope opening and collection plate accounting, so he stuffed his work in a wall with the idea that he would come back and finish the work next week... only such a hullabaloo was raised about the missing money that he realized he could never explain what happened.
