He was thinking refugees (didn't plan to immigrate) and those who come here illegally and LATER on maybe try to get a green card after the fact. The policy is about those going through the normal process. His rant and interruptions were incoherent and simply ignorant. He was conflating things and the poem was virtue signalling. Also, he will be among the first that would mock American values, yet uses an extremely idealized notion of it to make a non-point.
OBVIOUSLY Illegals and refugees may not know English when they come, as for Illegals they shouldn't be here! So yes get them out. As for refugees that requires different measures and their status here HAS to be temporary and they need to be told to go back home/elsewhere within a certain amount of time. They only get to be invited to stay and go through the normal process (learn English is always part of it), if their education and skills are awesome and they will add, not subtract to this society.

Anyone saying that is basically saying that they don't expect brown or black people to be awesome at all and be allowed to stay if they come here in a refugee situation. That right there is racist. Yes the few that are awesome stay, those that aren't go back home... what is that? your home is still a shit hole? Too bad...? Go somewhere else or go back home and do something about your shit hole country... duh.
Never mind about the stupid poem, right off the bat Acosta made a fool of himself by questioning the Trump administration move to make English a requirement for immigrants. Um, news flash Mr. CNN Reporter, English has ALWAYS been a requirement for citizenship. ALWAYS. Once that silliness was out there, the whole rest of the exchange was about Acosta trying to save face.
That was fun to watch. Acosta looked like a total asshole, and ought to lose his seat in the press pool.
At the very least, Miller should have access to a switch to mute the idiot's microphone so he can answer the question.
