Super Bowl quarterback says people don’t like him because he’s black. Good grief. The President of the United States, Will and Jada, and now Cam Newton, all pouring the same whine. It’s nauseating.

THIS^^^^^ is why people don't like you Cam.
I personally detest showboating. When I was in High School, anyone seen "spiking" the ball, or doing anything else that could be seen as cocky, was removed from the team for the next few games. Our coaches not only taught football, they taught teamwork, sportsmanship, and honor.
Once showboating started being commonplace in ball sports, it bled over into motorsports, where it seriously does not belong. Look at winners in NASCAR these days, doing their donuts and burnouts. The worst example I can think of was when one of the losers at a motorcycle roadrace stopped on the track to do a burnout. He was hit by the winner, Bubba Shobert. McGee suffered a broken leg, but Shobert was left paralyzed, his stunning career cut short by an asshole showing off on a race track. So it's not JUST unprofessional behavior.
An example that will be used by the left to justify participation trophies.
Not that showboating is a good thing, I always believed in 'gentlemanly' celebrations, but there has to be a reason to play hard, otherwise there will be mediocre performance.
I'm sure a few don't like him because he's black, but more might hate him because of his cocky behavior. That said, he has been the best player in the NFL this season, he should be/will be the MVP, & I think he leads the Panthers to victory next week vs Denver.
I would like to see Manning go out with a bang but it will not be easy. Newton can be rattled, if the Denver defense can stay in his face they way they did Brady in the AFC title game the Broncos have a chance. If they can't, that dancin', prancin' smartass will pick them apart.
I wouldn't say I hate him. I just never heard of him. I don't follow grown men playing a child's game. Especially when they act childish while doing it.
Crap. Now I have to root for Denver.
Nah, I lived in Denver for over a year, Denver fans are nuts. One of my stepsons is a Denver fan. I'll root for Newton to get ejected from the game, and the backup QB to come in and win.
Kinda like seeing a Raiders sticker on their car, which translates directly to asshole?
LOL!!
When I was living in Denver in late 1981 to late 1982, the Broncos fans were all buying Ford Broncos and painting them Bronco orange. Ugliest damned thing you ever saw.
Maybe people hate you because you're a dick?
What the fig newton
I had no opinion of the guy before I read this. The race whining makes me not like him now.
Being black has nothing to do with it, I don't like Newton because he is a showoff on the field, an arrogant ass in a football uniform. When he grows up, shows a little class like all great quarterbacks from the past, I might have a little more respect for him. Newton has the talent, that is obvious, it's his personality that needs a lot of work and without the changes people will continue to see him as a crybaby, a smartass, an over paid fool.
He isn't liked (he says) because he is a Quarterback who is Black... He believes that the negativity he hears is due to a latent racism because people don't believe Blacks should be QB. He feels that people hate on him because he is winning (part of the winning team/has developed his leadership skills) and people can't handle it... because he is Black. It is not just that people don't like him (generally speaking) because he is Black. Context is a good thing.
I have heard that for whatever reason there aren't minorities (including hispanics and others) who are quarterbacks. Is that correct? Is he the first? (I don't know). If he is the first or one of the few is it because there aren't enough qualified minority football players to be in that position OR minorities are ACTIVELY being kept from that position? (I don't know).
If there is an ACTIVE play to keep ANY minorities away from positions of leadership like QB, then he MAY have a point. If there is no such active play then he is being paranoid.
The NFL is full of black quarterbacks. I don't know if it's 50% but I'm sure it's more than 25%. Now I'm curious. Gonna go check:
Never mind. I don't know how to figure that out. Starters get pulled, hurt, traded. The starter is constantly changing. Off the top of my head, teams with black starting quarterbacks: Minnesota, Buffalo, Jacksonville, North Carolina (Cam Newton), Seattle, Tampa Bay... none of those so far is Michael Vick and I think he's still playing somewhere. So yeah, there's others. At least two of them have won Super Bowls.
Right I know NOTHING about US Football, that is why I asked questions. Since this is the case, PJ and JPT he is being paranoid.
Again, there have been black quarterbacks in the NFL since 1921, and there has been at least one black quarterback in the NFL in every season starting in 1968.
This crybaby needs to learn to read a little history before whining about how he's a victim of racism.
