The left wing loons have accomplished their goal, make everyone afraid of their own shadow. This kid didn't show much common sense given the problems in our pubic skrewels these days but why did the school officials over react so badly? None of them had the balls to pull her aside and ask what she was doing? Big Brother will take care of you so be afraid of everything, except Big Brother? Big Brother scares me a hell of a lot more than a kid in a gasmask.

Yeah, that's what I was going to say. A Halloween costume on October 7th? Methinks the girl was trying for exactly the response she got, and I don't feel sorry for her. I'm guessing on October 30th the school wouldn't have even blinked.
I agree. She did it for attention, but not sure she envisioned that it would go THAT far. She is an idiot and so are the parents for letting her do it.

She should have known better but better still... her parents/guardians should have known better. I think once established that it was a costume and she had no arms with her, the SWAT was over the top, but yeah in this day and age her costume was innappropriate.
