The First Count of Fentanyl Deaths in 2016: Up 540% in Three Years. That’s approximately 64,000 DOA from drug overdoses last year, as compared to approximately 33,000 gun deaths per year, of which about 60% are suicides leaving roughly 13,200 non-suicide gun deaths. You’d think with figures like this Bloomberg and his anti-gun minions at Everytown for Gun Safety, the Brady Campaign, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence Gabby Gifford’s Americans for Responsible Solutions, et al, would refocus on the larger threat. But they don’t want to do that because they hate guns and evidently don’t care one whit about drug overdose deaths.
