University of Mississippi students were attending a three-day retreat designed to “build leaders and bring the campus together” when one banana-eating lout, too lazy to find a trash barrel and unwilling to throw his peel on the ground, stuck it in a nearby tree. Black students immediately decided it was a threat, which sparked a day-long discussion about racism, and then everybody left the retreat in tears.
