Tesla Motors’ design flaw: $100K car may turn into a $100K brick. “If the battery is ever totally discharged, the owner is left with what Tesla describes as a “brick”: a completely immobile vehicle that cannot be started or even pushed down the street. The only known remedy is for the owner to pay Tesla approximately $40,000 to replace the entire battery.” Well, at least they don’t catch fire three weeks later…. None that we’ve heard about, anyway.

I firmly believe in electric cars. I just don't believe in electric cars with batteries. The notion is utterly stupid. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if the government would simply get out of the way and let the market solve the problem, carbon nanotube capacitors are only a few years down the road and when they hit the market we'll all want to have an electric car. Instant recharge, they won't wear out, and you can draw power as fast as you need it.
Is that any relation to a flux capacitor? J/K I agree that the idea of a humungous battery for a car is unrealisticat best!

With a twist to the lyrics you could be describing one of the these fine pieces of crap that greenies love called electric cars...."Dead car in the middle of the road"...$100,000 paperweight. I bet Warren Buffet has two....The only good place for the Volt and it's expensive prostitute sister, Tesla, is at the bottom of the Mariana's trench...

Ther is nothing "green" abouth these vehicles the process to create the batteries requires some of the most toxic materials you can think of and I think I read somewhere that the average hybrid requires 2x the amount of water to produce than its non hybrid counterparts
Oh-Oh Heeeere comes another "tax" to compensate the greenies
And the Chevy Sparks design flaw will turn the car into a $40,000 bonfire. At least the Tesla won't take your garage and house with it.
A couple billion dollars of taxpayer money will fix this minor design flaw in just a few short decades, no doubt.
