The Brad Pitt scene in Fury that is making liberals have a cow

• The mind set of the left is the very reasons that more of our brave have been forced to make the ultimate price. The left doesn't get it. In times of war you kill your enemy. They don't get it that when you catch a war criminal on the field of combat, justice is administered swiftly and deadly. Until they come to the realization that those who are our enemy are determined to kill us, we are all in peril.

• Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan also has shootings of prisoners and people surrendering.

  The mater of factness with the dispatching of the SS officers in Fury was interesting, like taking out the garbage.

  It's all because of Gitmo and Abu Gharib. Our enemies cut the heads off of journalists but if we do hazing that my fraternity would have passed on as being too prosaic- everyone gets atwitter.

• But the libturds are okay with what ISIS does.....Shameless dickheads liberals are.

    • I refuse to call them ISIS or ISIL. Islamic State. That's who they are. And I refuse to debate the good or bad of Islam with anyone now. I've had enough of it. When people tell me that most Muslims are peaceful people, I state the fact that matters most. They ALL worship a child molester. Period, end of story. There is no such thing as a moderate worshiper of a child molester.

• Everyone should see "Breaker Morant." It's about soldiers on trial for killing the enemy.

  Fantastic movie, directed by Bruce Beresford, and starring the brilliant Edward Woodward and Bryan Brown.

  • O my I saw that when I was maybe in high school and never forgot that. Awful story.

  I hate to be the one to break this to these liberal idiots, but because of the very same attitude we haven't won a war since WWII.

• Whatever. I liked the movie and the battle scenes were very well done.

• I just watched a report from Canada on the 'incident' in Ottawa; Sergeant-At-Arms Ridley emptied his automatic into the terrorist from a range of one foot. Progressives would call this a crime
  Also, the killing of German and Japanese prisoners was not common during WWII, but it wasn't rare, either, and in those incidents which were reported no GI was ever charged with anything.

• Liberals ought to have a look at this as an example of how our enemies treat POW's, but the assholes won't. Fury is a movie, this is not!

• A civil war general said, "War is hell"; which one of those words needs explanation?
  The Germans killed American pow's at Malmodee and other places in WWII.

• Can I PLEASE be the one allowed to execute the person who came up with this PC BS?

  • I wrote a column a few years ago that described a similar situation faced by my father during the Battle of the Bulge: http://jpattitude.com/091111.php. Ultimately, Dad decided not to execute them - they were so young and probably wearing American coats simply because they were cold. I'm sure the fact that Dad had eight younger brothers had something to do with his decision, too. Anyway, the point is Allied Supreme Command had given explicit orders to shoot Germans captured wearing any part of Allied uniforms. Those are the rules of war, plain and simple.

      • In his book Dad has another story that's a little bit funny in a macabre guy kind of way. As a captain Dad had a bodyguard/driver who accompanied him everywhere. One day they were reconnoitering forward, carefully, trying to figure out how far the Germans, who were practically in full rout, had retreated. Suddenly there's a German soldier coming toward him with his hands up. Dad knew just enough German to know the guy wanted to surrender and just enough German to know he wanted to show Dad some papers he figured the Allies would find useful. Unfortunately, his bodyguard didn't know any German and all he saw was a German soldier reaching into his pocket and shot him dead. Dad looked at his bodyguard and said, "The guy was surrendering." The bodyguard said, "Oh." Turned out the guy was completely unarmed but hey, war is war, shit happens, and nobody back then would have even considered charges against the bodyguard.
