The Coming of the Next American Republic. James DeLong‘s book, “Ending ‘Big SIS’ (The Special Interest State) and Renewing the American Republic” explains how US gov’t has become what the Founders wished to avoid: “a Special Interest State.” The various interest groups know exactly how to manipulate the system (and us) and the useless media has been an able and willing ally. The result is “almost everyone who actually does something productive is on the menu for those who do nothing but redistribute the wealth.” Sounds familiar, for some reason.

Big SIS is more insidious than Big Brother ever thought of being!
There is a quote from the movie The Patriot...
"What's the difference between one tyrant 3,000 miles away (King George) and 3,000 tyrants 1 mile away?"
Seems so very true. Due to apathy and selfishness, we allow roughly 450 people and their minions control our every move. I shudder to think what we are leaving our kids.
Exactly. That is what some liberals and CINO's, don't understand even with silly and small laws that are meant to supposedly help us out in making better decisions for ourselves, all of these things that are being done as a whole are dangerous to us all and most definetly for future generations.
I don't have any kids. I always tell my liberal friends that DO have kids that they should be the pissed off ones. I'm not leaving any children behind to pay the bills.
Compelling article. Nothing really new or startling, but pulls it all together quite well.
