  • Once again, Dems have come up with an idea that sounds good, looks good on paper, but will never in the known universe actuallt work as presented. This will be a tool of such discrrimination that Jim Crow will look like a party. Andwhen it implodesy, it w ill somehow be thefault of conservatives.   • Costs will go up, investment and innovation will go down- that's pretty clear. It's the rule of the commons. If you don't give people an incentive to keep something in nice shape, and instead depend on the mob to run it, you get crap.

    I don't see how this effects content, outside of bandwidth growth rate will decrease. I don't see a 'fairness' doctrine like the old radio and TV stuff.

    Does this mean satellite providers are covered also? What about wi-fi hot spot networks?

  • As I understand things, internet giants like Google and others will lose their ability to pay ISP companies to throttle bandwidth. Google and others represent a crapton of liberal money, influence and power. NN hurts them from a business standpoint. As a general rule, people on the right are against NN. So basically, our dog in this fight is Google and others that we typically despise for their liberal influence? I need some help here. Teach me. Please.

    • NN is not as it has been sold. It will make any and all conservative sites illegal. Already the fascist democrats want all climate skeptic sites shutdown because SHUT UP. The fascist democrats in the media are going to say what they have to shutdown all conservative voices on the internet. The end result will be like the media is now, 95% leftist.

      Now nobody knows what net neutrality is. The diktats have not been released. I do know that google wrote quite a bit of the diktats. I do know that any fascist democrat scheme is named in direct opposition to what it actually does. See "Affordable Care Act" I do know that nothing the Obama regime does is for the good of the country. I do know that the fascist democrats are not winning the internet politically, particularly not at 95% leftists.

      This will cost users more. Government interference always does.

      This will make the internet much more like the chicom internet.

        I understand the sentiment. The fact that the Dems are for it, makes me leery. I've read that PTP file sharing would be opened to full throttle and that hurts the liberal movie/music/TV industries. Why their party would do that them is suspect too. Basically NN puts one in the ass of every big money supporter and donor of the Democrat party. Is this just a big smokescreen about nothing to distract conservatives? Because so far what I've read, I am in favor of NN under the premise of how I have seen it presented. I have yet to read a logic based conservative argument against the concept.

  • I can make a guess at what is in this government takeover.
    1. Conservative sites will be under the microscope and shutdown.
    2. AGW skeptic sites will be under the microscope and shutdown.
    3. If any company doesn't do as told by the fascist democrat party will be under the microscope, have to fight an investigation, and either comply or be shutdown.
    4. Christian sites will be under the microscope, have to fight an investigation, and either comply or be shutdown.
    5. islamic sites will be given money to promote the religion of pedeos.
    6. There will be no resistance to the fascist democrat big government plans.
