If memory serves me, the Communists and the Nazi party in what was left of Germany during the late 20's were both fighting each other for the same group of supporters. The only reason the Nazis won was because they were even more ruthless then the communists.
My brother walked up to a local watering hole one weekend night during the Fall of 2004 with a "Bush/Cheney 04" button on his jacket. Another patron of the bar angrily told him to take the button off. "No!" my brother said. The other guy dropped it and walked away. My brother is a usually peaceable person and let it drop because he wasn't really looking for trouble. A lot of liberals write checks with their mouths that their bodies can't cash. It's amazing how many of them will wilt if someone shows them that they aren't intimidated.
The title is misleading because there is nothing new about this crop of fascist. They came from Europe in the 30s, took over academia and media, and have been hard at work since then to destroy the county, with this latest bunch being the new leaders that spawned from them.
The Marxist left has spent over 80 years infiltrating every sector of American society in an attempt to bring the country down and quietly change it to what they believe in. The right? We've got maybe 5 years, judging from when Bush said he had to “abandoned free market principles to save the free market system" and hence paved the way for Obama to do everything he has done.

The left is only about civility when they are spouting ignorant garbage. When they are challenged by anyone who doesn't buy into the bull shit being slung around the left start the personal attacks on the challenger, right out of the nazis and brown shirts play book. Right, get online and look up the original 25 or 35 points advocated by the National Socialist German Workers Party. A lot of it is very similar to anything the modern Left advocates, aside from the notions of 'racial purity,' but even a lot of the anti-Semitism is now back and proud.
There was nothing "right wing" about the Nazis, that is propaganda spread by the leftists in academia. The Nazis and Communists were/are both socialist parties vieing for the same demographic, the Nazis, honestly, couched their socialism in terms of nationalism, the Soviet inspired Communists falsely called theirs internationalist.
Of course "internationalist" meant subservient to mother Russia. So, in the end, the biggest difference between these two left wing movements was the caliber bullets they used to dispatch those who disagreed with them.
"Right Wing" or "Conservative" at the time of the Nazi rise to power would, of course, have been those who supported the Wiemar Republic.
Such a fundamental and true point . . . it amazes me how it is almost universally ignored.

The TSA cow at TIA confiscated my 3.4oz. of toothpaste this morning. Fascism is alive and well here. I truly despise petty authority figures who spent their high school careers sitting in the back row and for lack of any meaningful job potential embark on a government career harassing the productive class. Yeah, I'm in that kind if mood right now.
