The New York Times has always been on the side of evil

The New York Times has ALWAYS been on the side of evil. People say “lately” or “in the last couple decades” the Times has lost its way, but “The Gray Lady” has always been flagrantly wrong and blatantly partisan in favor of Democrats. The following is from 120 years ago when the newspaper took the official position that the Fifteenth Amendment should be repealed… you know, the one which prohibits denying a citizen the right to vote based on “race, color, or previous condition of servitude.” May of 1900:

“The Republican Party committed a great public crime when it gave the right of suffrage to the blacks. … So long as the Fifteenth Amendment stands, the menace of the rule of the blacks will impend, and the safeguards against it must be maintained. The South cannot hope to command the support of three-fourths of all the States for an amendment to the Constitution revoking the privilege so improvidently given to the Negroes thirty years ago. That would beyond all question be the just remedy, a proper reparation for a great wrong, and it ought to be evident to all people that such an amendment would be an act of national wisdom.”

  • These midol taking, spineless pieces of shit are unhappy with everything. They would bitch and moan and write an editorial if their ice cream was cold. The New York Times, "Keeping people in the dark and feeding them shit just like the mushrooms they are"....

    • JP, I see Gretchen Hitmer has given y'all three more weeks of penance to get your mind right.

      • She's insane. Everybody is pretty much ignoring her at this point. Playing hell with the restauranteurs though, they're going out of business permanently left and right. And I'm guessing a lot of barbers, hair stylists, and nail salons are gone for good too. I don't know what makes these dumbass politicians, sitting there in Lansing with their guaranteed government paychecks, think small businesspeople can go months and months without opening and somehow survive. It shows a rather remarkable lack of common sense or awareness of the realities of the world.

  • Great piece. It wasn't until FDR's social programs during the Great Depression that blacks began voting for democrats and it was solidified several decades later with LBJ's Great Society debacle that for the most part, rendered the black male useless within the family unit. Due to these occurrences, the New York Times eventually changed it's tune regarding minorities, although like most things democrat, it's sincerity remains debatable.
