• Just another Democrat SCUM (Socialist Communist Utopian Marxist) trying to connect with the younger gamer generation. If they are stupid enough to elect this real life troll, expect her to play WOW for hours on the taxpayer's dime.

• These kinds of RPG's are time-consuming, how does she find the time to play to that level and still do her job? (Admittedly, she's not doing here job very well and obviously they don't need a full-time politician where she is.)

• I don't know if it's a fair comparison, but in high school in the early 80s, we thought some of the kids who went overboard on Dungeons & Dragons were strange. There's nothing wrong with playing a few video games, but at a certain point it becomes excessive and seems to point to arrested development. On her web page Colleen Lachowicz gives praise to "Progressive" Republican Teddy Roosevelt and was mad at the way Ron Paul was treated at the Republican Covention. Maybe she's not quite a total liberal, but I couldn't see myself ever voting for her.

• I think that is Whoopi Goldberg in the outfit she wore for her Star Trek tryout. Such an improvement over her real face. ;-)

• I play runescape myself, as does my lady. It keeps me out of the bars, where I would spend much more money, keep me out of trouble, and gives us something to do together, as Karmaa said; I do NOT care about her gaming, just her voting record.

• Well, I have to admit - I play MMORPG's. Yes, I do. But I also admit that most of the people who play them are idiots or downright frightening.

  I have a small group of real life friends who I have been playing with for over 10 years - and we just stick to ourselves. But the limited interaction we have with outsiders makes me believe that the majority are either 13 years old, 40-year old virgins, desperate (ex)housewives, or just plain psychos. ESPECIALLY in World of Warcraft, which we finally stopped playing because of how horrible the people are.

  Anyway, I wouldn't vote for her because she's a liberal democrat who posts on KOS - not because she's a gamer. That's just stress relief for some of us!

  • It's too bad that you have had such bad interactions on MMORPGs in general. I've been a WoW player for many years (it's where I met my wife, in fact) and while there are a lot of children, douchebags, trolls, and just general goobers, it's not really any worse there than it is in any other game or online forum on the internet.

    I agree with you. As a Mainer and just a human being in general, her WoW 'toon isn't even on my list of reasons to not vote for her. Kinda like "being black" wasn't on my list of reasons for not voting for 0bama.

    • OK -- "most" was an over-generalization. "Many" would be a better choice of words. Congratz on meeting your wife that way. I know several couples who met in-game, and they seem to have pretty strong relationships. =)
