Time Magazine blamed the 1974 polar vortex on “global cooling.” Now, forty years later, Time is blaming “global warming.” Same vortex, same cold weather – maybe even the same writers at Time – but different bullshit science story.

I suppose next the NYT, Newsweak, and Time will blame their declining readership on global warming....Weather tards....
To stop this global cooling we need a big fire, if you piled, Al Gore, Michael Moore, Rosie O'Donnel, and Rosanne Barr in a pile and ignited it, it would burn for months and considerably warm the USA....and since it is all grease, it would burn it self out in a couple months leaving nothing but some carbon which we can recycle for credits from Der Leader.
The unbelievable stench from that mass of decayed animated waste would be too nauseating to bare, besides there are other considerations to Al "my lies are always convenient" gore, how about the idiots they elect into congress?

Cool pics indeed. Since it is nigh unto impossible to freeze moving water, this also points up how much of the falls has been diverted for water, electricity, etc. What we see today is something like 1/10th what the original was.
You're going to have to document that. I don't believe it. We don't let anybody divert water out of the Great Lakes basin - nobody. Aquafina or somebody opened a water bottling plant in the middle of Michigan and they wouldn't even give them a permit unless they promised not to ship the water out of the Great Lakes basin. Midwest farming states are always begging and lobbying for Great Lakes water and we won't give it to them. It stays here.
I'm on my Kindle and can'copy the link, but for a brief overview, Wikipedia discusses the diversion of water from the falls.
Okay, Wikipedia says they divert some water around the falls to run it through hydroelectric generators, and they divert some of it at night to reduce erosion because the falls are such a valuable tourist resource, but 90%?
See the PBS special on the falls. It goes into much more detail. and makes the argument that as Magnificant as the Falls are, they used to be even more dramatic before the diversions were done.
So, I guess Maid of the Mist isn't taking tourists out to see the falls now.
Again, the vortex is always there. It isn't formed by or dependant upon warming, cooling,or what you snaked last night. It just is. Most of the time we pay no attention because it remains in the polar regions. Now and again it beaks into two, and gets carried to watercolours,where it wreaks havock for a few days. Then it gathers itself and goes home to the poles and we forget a bout it.
So, the climate warriors and their lap dog reporters are liars and frauds? Just using current events to make stuff up to scare people and take advantage of them? Firm evidence they are all democrats and RINOs.
I say the climate is staying pretty much constant- but is doing so very rapidly.
I agree with you but also appreciate the viewpoint of people who say the climate is in flux - but remarkably static.
The climate has always been in flux -- always. The climate is NOT the problem, rather the issue is millions of over-educated people believe they can understand a dynamic system and then assign causes to match the effects. Take all of the worlds super-computers, hook them in series or parallel, and the intellectuals still cannot accurately forecast the amount of wind/rain or snow that comes in 90 days.
On top of that little chunk of self-delusion, there is another scenario playing out. The socialist paradigm of ultimate control to build a super-society; a world that operates according to their dictates. The entire purpose of science is not to PROVE something, but to DISPROVE an earlier theory -- try and shine the turd, as it were. Information can be acquired and applied, but the outcome is always a variable. The best that these scientists can do is limit their understandings of possible variables -- and they're pretty poor at that. Example: How many patients die on the operating table? How many planes fall from the sky? Those are just the catastrophic failures -- think upon the small failures. A virus escapes natural containment (HIV), or a species shows up where it doesn't belong (zebra mussels, goats/snakes on tropical islands, etc); the list is long.
Not to worry, 10 years from now when the Glaciers start forming just north of the Canadian border, it will still be because you didn't purchase enough carbon credits from Al Gore.
Al Gore is 1 of the greatest fraudsters in our lifetime, & he's not even good at it.
In this cultural and educational vacuum he really doesn't have to be all that good to fool the sheep into supporting the scam- particularly with the MSM as the chief cheerleader.
