As a public service, we occasionally feel obligated to translate some of the crap found in the media. In this case, we find ourselves translating a Rachel Maddow interview in the NY Daily News.
“During the election last year, Maddow established herself as one of the big three at MSNBC, which had its best run ever, with her show following Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann.” (Translation: Her initial ratings were through the roof, but they are sinking faster than the Titanic.)
“But she was a charter host on Air America in March 2004, so she and the radio network have now figured out a way to give her an ongoing presence there.” (Translation: Maddow dumped Air America because low-rated television hosts make a lot more money than low-rated radio hosts.)
“She also notes that she and her MSNBC colleagues ‘don’t exactly march in lockstep. Sometimes when we’re doing a panel, we have no agreement at all.'” (Translation: Some of them are Stalinists while others are Maoists.)
We feel like one of those guys at the UN with the earphones and microphone who instantaneously translate speeches from Urdu to Tagalog. Except that translating Liberal is a lot tougher.

I'm not. It would just be nice to have you admit the bias of the other networks, that's all.
The other networks push your agenda so it is NOT bias. But if Fox pushes a different one then that is network bias.
I guess you didn't read my answer above where I said yes that all media in the US is biased.
Their COMMENTATORS are def. conservative, yes.
You know, the ones who give their OPINIONS......
So why complain about media bias then? If everyone is biased why don't you talk about the issues instead of complaining that such and such news station said this, if you are already know that's their positions?

Perhaps people DO NOT want to watch the other networks combined BECAUSE they are biased.
Fox News has commentators who are supposed to have an opinion. That is their job. The actual news readers are a different story.
Is Chris Matthews biased? Is Olberman? Anderson Cooper? Maddow?
You also have to look at how many homes these stations are in.

Sam, in typical liberal fashion you are the question man who has no answers or refuses to give them. I explained the core point of the site to you yesterday, but you must not have liked my answer. You never answered me about the other awesome sites that you hang out at. BTW Fox has the top three shows on CABLE news. ABC, NBC, CBS are still considered the Main Stream Media and guess what? They are extremely biased. In so far as viewership numbers are concerned, why don't you do your own homework and start out with tvbythenumbers.com.
Here are your numbers and Fox has about 50% of all viewing. That's one station that has the same amount as the next top 4.

CNN – 660,000 viewers
MSNBC –1,236,000 viewers
CNBC – 200,000 viewers
HLN –686,000 viewers
Would also be interesting to look @ change in these figures since the Anointed One took office!

It's pretty clear that this viewership is painful reality for the Lefties (they can't understand why no one appreciates the talents of the likes of Rachel Madcow, Keith (Sl)Obberman, and the truly repulsive Ed Schultz (who in the world thought it a good idea to even put him on the air?).
They would prefer to characterize anyone who doesn't share their idolworship of Oblahma as a "wingnut", "teabagger", "rightwinger", etc. I think the mainstream in this country is gradually seeing through the phony rhetoric, total political shabbiness, and general incompetence of this Administration--that's what these numbers reflect.

Is Fox biased?
A media bias does not extend to the people who watch the shows.
The media bias comes from those disseminating the information. There are more networks than Fox so there certainly can be a bias.
In previous posts you mentioned that Fox has the top three cable news shows on tv. How then can you say there is a general media bias if the most watched news is Fox?
