President Trump on Thursday balked at an immigration deal that would include protections for people from Haiti and African countries, demanding to know at a White House meeting why he should accept immigrants from “shithole countries” rather than people from places like Norway, according to people with direct knowledge of the conversation.

  • I say no more money and no more immigration from all the shitholes around the world we have wasted untold billions on and the people are just as bad off as they were when the first "aid" check got there years ago.

    We taxpayers watched our gooberment waste over $42 BILLION last year trying to help shithole countries all around the world. What did we get out of it? Nothing!

  • Two Senators said he didn't say it. Durbin didn't say anything AT THE TIME, he waited until the cameras to make this accusation. President denies saying it. Everyone just assumes he said it, because he is not a fake asshole and keeps it real. The chances are high he didn't say, but he may have IMPLIED it or it as INFERRED by the listener and the liar Durbin says that is what he said when he didn't actually said it. We may never know for sure.

    In any case, if he said it, sure not Elegant, but it is truthful. If he didn't say it, still truthful.

    • Could you imagine what it must be like to have to live in that shack next to all that filth? Does anyone in the government have a sense of smell? Probably, but like our pols here they NEVER, EVER go within a hundred miles of the messes they are responsible for creating!

  • I can't help laughing at the inherent contradiction in the Democrats' position: on the one hand, they want people from these countries to have special protection from having to return to their native countries BECAUSE THEY ARE SUCH SHITHOLES; but on the other hand they are acting offended that the president called them shitholes. If they are NOT shitholes, why do those people need special status? It's not racist to point out that certain countries are dysfunctional. It has nothing to do with the color of the people living there. But clearly they are dysfunctional--nobody can deny it. For example, even after receiving billions is aid, Haiti still can't manage to build any housing for people to live in. Ninety cents of every dollar that goes into that place ends up in some government official's Swiss bank account. So you end up with some of the poorest people on the planet at the same time you have incredibly wealthy Haitians hanging around in the night clubs and fancy restaurants of New York. It's sad.

  • Good for President Trump. It’s about time that a US President did exactly that. The high and mighty members of congress are not use to having a president call bull shit when he sees it.

    Now the rinos and dip shits need to wrap their heads around the fact that they have to come up with a true plan. Not some fairy dust magical garbage that they all can claim is what “We the People” want.
