• How long before this video "suddenly" disappears?

• She asked about the AG or senior Justice Dept. people telling him to stop investigating. She didn't ask about the president asking him to stop. So not sure this applies to the situation at all.

  • I think it is pretty clear that Comey is stating that any such direction would be a huge deal and nothing remotely close had ever occurred.

    They will play it off using the semantics which is something I would be in favor of if there were an equal application. Unfortunately we live in a time where:

    A. We can't look into credible claims that the Obama White House was spying on Congress/SCOTUS/Presidential Candidates because Trump once used the term "Wiretapped" in a Tweet and as everybody knows physical "wiretapping" didn't occur.

    B. We are expected to believe that the Russians hacked the election even though everybody knows there was no "hacking" of the election and even in the broadest terms the Russians did not influence it through wikileaks or campaign coverage.

    So they defer to semantics when it benefits them and they ignore them when it doesn't. And they get away with it.

• After Comey/Fitzpatrick getting Libby on a trumped up "gotcha" perjury charge (despite both of them knowing from the very beginning that Richard Armitage was the Plame leaker) it would be poetic justice for Comey to get put away for a real instance of perjury. I won't hold my breath though. This is an era where Obama can get away with using the surveillance state for oppo research while Trump (as slimy as I think he is) is being crippled by what is essentially an unfounded conspiracy theory.
