Fox News doomed: Bow-tied bozo Tucker Carlson to join network

Tucker Carlson, the ratings-challenged, bow-tied bozo who has driven away viewers from two other cable news networks, will begin working his magic at Fox News.

Here’s how MediaBistro.com reports the remarkably dull announcement:

After appearances on “Red Eye,” Tucker Carlson made it official this morning becoming a paid contributor to Fox News Channel. His first appearance, coming on his 40th birthday, was on Fox & Friends just after 7am ET.

“Life begins at 40 and your Fox career begins at 40 too,” said co-anchor Dave Briggs.

“I’ve waited a long time to get here and I’m glad to be here,” said Carlson. “We’re delighted to have you,” added Alisyn Camerota.

Carlson spent five years at CNN co-hosting “Crossfire” until its cancellation. He jumped to MSNBC in 2005 and stayed through the 2008 presidential election.

Tucker Carlson is the Typhoid Mary of cable network news. His mere appearance on the air is enough to sicken otherwise healthy ratings.
