I live in France, and I quite like it here. Very few restrictions on MY personal freedoms, and it's much nicer than the Former UK.
Yes, they're socialists (or the current government are), but I suspect many are pretty fed up with socialism, now, and are looking for a change in 2017.

Actually, how restrictive are the firearm laws in France?
I ran into a few French people at the shooting range I used to frequent in Florida, and they said they owned FNFAL's. Surprised the hell outta me.
I am currently living in D-land, and the laws are VERY restrictive here.

Join a shooting club, be a member in good standing for years, shoot at least once a week (Okay, I can live with that one), fill out reams of paperwork, and give the police the right to make unannounced "visits", and MUST let them in any damn time the please.
Oh, and that's the SIMPLIFIED list.
And THEN there is the problem of actually PURCHASING a firearm. And THAT would be limited to a bolt action rifle as they are nervous about that whole semi automatic thing.
Hell, look up the test just to get a FISHING license here.
