Unilever sees “return to poverty” in Europe. Unilever is a global consumer products company which owns brands like Skippy and Hellmans. Due to the perpetual fiscal soap opera in the Eurozone, the company has had to adopt product strategies it uses in the third world in order to do business there. Hey, this same smart Euro-thinking is what Barack the First wishes to bestow on his subjects here. All eleventy hundred million of them.

Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

  • When the sh*t hits the fan here and we all live hand to mouth in fly-over country, I'll be more than happy to have a container of Skippy's peanut butter or a container of Hellmanns mayonnaise. I just hope I didn't have to buy it from some other t*rd world country.

  • Man do I wish the euro would just tank and get it over with.
    I still have a little money in my Credit union in S. FL, and tap into it on occasion, but with the bank fees and exchange rate it's a loss for me.

    Oh well, maybe I will get a chance to get home next year and use the money for our vacation.
