I've been in unions (and therefore robbed by them). The next union official that does or says anything "honest" will be the first one I have ever heard of.

I believe it says union endorsed in the title. My union, Local 12 of the Operating Engineers, claimed that id endorsed candidates based on the person, not the party. I asked if they'd ever endorsed anyone that wasn't a Democrat. Blank stares.
In Wisconsin a teachers union candidate is Democrat by definition.
