They put the stage behind glass, so you're just watching a show from a distance. I've never heard of such a thing. If I had walked in and seen that, I'd have walked right back out.
It's a peep show. Peep shows are a famous art form going all the way back to Adam & Eve... okay, maybe that's an exaggeration. The men are behind glass so they get to remain relatively anonymous, although the girls can see them. And really especially extra classy men can bring a date and have sex right there in the anonymity of their private booth where nobody can see them except the strippers. I hear.

I'm sure there were lots of overweight and ugly strippers at the club protected by the union. i do love when a union disaster happens with so little steps (one) between product and consumer. Management is not in any of those steps.

Which leads me to wonder is their any business a Union can't screw up?
These gals look a little scary to me...might be my glasses. The fact that they unionized and then went out of business should serve as a great learning moment for them and others. People ostensibly unionize for more money and better benefits, however they rarely consider the dynamics and realities of economics when they make the decision to go union. One big factor is that when you offer a business, any business, to the public (you know, the people with the money you want a part of) you need to offer them something they actually want, or think they need. The low information voters that hang out in strip joints, less the owner operators, have limited resources (cash and possibly brains) and go where they feel they're getting the best bang for their bucks and the union thugs (even the ones with ta-ta's) usually want more money for less work, not a good business model, even for a strip club full of half drunk idiots who have way too much time and money on their hands and not enough brains in their heads. Looking at the picture featured above reminded me of watching my daughter's pet rats while they played in their plastic habitat, they too were totally oblivious of reality and incapable of 'thinking' outside the box.
I too noticed they were not the cream of the crop. The city I work in has several "gentleman's" clubs in it. You can tell when the looks go or when the ride has been a bit to much, they start working in the next level down until they are at the bottom of the skank ladder. That's when all the makeup and all the alcohol won't make Jill a pretty girl.

I did a stint as a truck driver pulling containers from the piers a bunch of years ago, and these guys were some of the slowest, most overpaid, jerks I ever had to deal with.
