University of Virginia Fraternity to Sue Rolling Stone for Made Up Rape Story. Time to find out if lying for an agenda is OK with the law. If the fraternity wins this could have bad results for the MSM and politicians.

Where do these young men go to get their reputations back? Short of murder, rape is the ultimate crime that can be committed. It's henious and degrading to the victim. However, to be falsely accused of it and to have so many line up and accuse you of it is nearly as bad. According to reports, The Rolling Stone submitted their story to the school of journalism at Columbia for scrutiny and review. It didn't pass. They went with it any way. Now it's time to pay up. The president of UVA should be forced from office. Her rush to judgement was just as bad. She should face civil penalties too. The young lady who started this whole thing faces criminal charges. She has also sat back years of very hard work to get women and men to come forward when they've bern raped.
When was the last time Rolling Stone meant something? It's over for them outside of a very small group of liberal progressive music snobs. Nobody I know, many of them are really into music or are in bands, gives a sh!t about this mag. No of them.
They are going to turn it into a new "Mad Magazine" or a low-brow FHM- and that is saying something.
Hope they sue Rolling Stench right out of business.
That is exactly what I was thinking. Hope the lawsuit bancrupts Rolling Stone and gets rid of it forever!
sue the magazine, sue the reporter, sue the school, sue the false "victim" who made it up.

At UCSB there are to be no more frat parties because it could happen even though it was all a lie.

Oh my, what will Rolling Stone do now? They didn't fire the reporter who lied and made up this story. Now they are going to get sued. Good, in fact Damn Good! And since the reporter did NOT issue an apology to the frat, I hope she ends up paying a shit load of punitive damages and has to go broke.
Unfortunately, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano, it is highly unlikely that unless they get a very courageous judge, the suit will go nowhere. It seems that judges are unlikely to allow a defamation suit where an organization, not an individual, is the victim, and since no actual people were named in the article, they just might get away with this.
The reason no one wants to go to "the rape school" is not because of the article, it's because of how the school reacted to the whole thing. I know I wouldn't go to a school that encouraged lying by continuing to punish the "offenders" even after the "event" was discovered to be a lie just because it COULD have happened.
