Here's a missing aspect to this article:
It's bad enough that the Sydney Morning Herald and their ilk tell us what we should eat, drink drive, where we should live, how much water we should use, what we should carry our groceries home in, how much we should pay our employees, or get paid, what doctor we are allowed to see, when and how often, etc.
Now they are telling us how we should feel.
Can anyone have the least bit of question about who these people really are?
Guy was strutting in front of a window for more than a few minutes, after people escaped.
The police knew he was alone. Hell, a 10 year old kid with a slingshot could have hit him, and yet the "special" squad of the police did........NOTHING!
Now, I know,rationally, that some political type somewhere had to give the order for them to hold off (and hope there is hell to pay for it) but ONE cop willing to do what was right instead of what was "politically expedient" could have saved a whole lot of grief and time.
I hope the blow back on this costs some people their jobs, but we all know it won't be the RIGHT people, just some sacrificial goats thrown under the bus bu the higher ups in CYA mode.
Remember the Good Guys Hostage and shooting in Sacramento back in the 80's? A sniper tried to take out one of the gunman thru a plate glass door. The bullet missed because of the window and it started the gunmen shooting the hostages. Glass is an absolute bitch to shoot through because of the thickness, and even the angle it is installed in. Most departments will not shoot through a window because of that. In this case, watching the video, it might have been the same kind of thing. You might hit the glass and the glass breaks, but if he is not Killed, he starts shooting the innocent folks. Just some food for thought.
Only if "empathy" is the name for a new hollow-point ammo.
You know you might be on to something great...Having problems with those pesky terrorists? Show them some Empathy, Empathy Hollow point rounds. Trouble with Rioters and Looters? Give them Empathy, They can have Empathy in all calibers so there is no discrimination. Empathy Hollow Point rounds, designed to show just how much you care for the dregs of society.
Maybe Hillary should move to Australia. She'd be more welcome there.

Ah... okay so this person would be empathetic if his or her child or parent or loved one got killed by one of these people right? Right...
Whatever... if you want to empathize with the freaks then dont come back crying when the freaks destroys your life.
Another article revealed that he had previously been convicted of writing nasty letters to the families of Australian soldiers killed in action in Afghanistan, for which he received a sentence which was very long on empathy - 300 hours of community service. Here is how much empathy I have - he should have received 300 lashes, and the judge who gave him community service should now get 600 lashes. Empathy, my ass.
He was also suspect in the death of his wife. Why was he still on the street, and what happened to the Aussie gun laws?
Maybe he didn't know about the laws. I guess their education system failed him.
I got yer empathy right here -- 9 millimeters of empathy, camel jockey.
He was a P.O.S. I don't feel even the tiniest bit sorry he has assumed room temperature and was DRT. I hope all his virgins are 85 years old and toothless.
I, on the other hand, hope his virgins are all drop-dead 10's.
