Update for world temperature data. Oh my, now who wouldn’t believe new BS from the bastions of truth, the University of East Anglia and Dr. Phil Jones? Revisiting? Recalculating? Using data back to 1850 when it was more than likely woefully inaccurate? How convenient the data now lists 2010, rather than 1998, as the warmest year on record? Sounds like re-conniving to us.

FTA: Cru's director, Phil Jones, explained why it was necessary to revise the UK record.
-----------
Yeah, I bet he did.
Thanks for the additional funding, and, er, don't worry, we'll make it fit...
It makes perfect sense. They had to restart their "data" at a point that was excessively cold (1850 was in the era of long, cold winters that inspired the Currier and Ives prints.) They are counting on the ignorant masses and compliant media not to notice (or report it) and make the more recent years appear warmer.
You mean they skewed the ranges by including data from the Little Ice Age! Actually I'm surprised that they went through that much trouble. From what we know, thanks to the climategate memo's, they normally just make the numbers up out of whole cloth.
Note it's also around the start of the Industrial Revolution. I can hear them using that to make a case that all this heat started about then.
I remember seeing a "documentary" with that dick David Suzuki where he tried to make the case that Vikings came to North America and changed the climate of Greenland by having campfires.
Their wacky fantasy world knows no impossibilities. They're truly unhinged.
That's wackadoodle. They named it Greenland for a reason, because it was green. They had vineyards there because it was warm when they arrived. They left when it cooled off an farming sucked.
And speaking of which, they called Labrador "Vinland"! Try growing more than turnips n taters there now.
It's a indication of how fake this garbage is that Phil Jones is still in control of this all important "research" data. Call me when you find someone who's actually trustworthy.
And this story comes from the BBC, one of the biggest media shills for the warmists over the past 20 years.
This is all irrelevant. Pollution had made the world uninhabitable by the year 2000. Just as Ted Dansen and my sixth grade science teacher told me it would.
When I was in school we were all going to freeze to death. I'm still waiting. Or die in an atomic war, I'm still waiting for that, too.
Ah, the nuclear attack drills. I remember them well. We even had a siren on a hundred foot pole on the next block that went off for a few minutes once a month to make sure it was still working. I had to be outside to help cover my dog's ears because it hurt him so bad.
Yeah, we were told the "New Ice Age" was coming. And there was also the pollution stuff and the overpopulation and global starvation stuff.
I'd say my teachers' big one was overpopulation. We heard the phrase "shoulder to shoulder" every other day. "By the year 2000 we'll all be standing shoulder to shoulder!"
It was all very dramatic.
Well RKae, you have to realize that when we went to school, it was the 60's and teachers were all jumping on the hippie bandwagon.
Everything was propoganda and they were trying to save the world!
Now, all those teachers and the students they were teaching, are administrators and faculty in our schools. The snowball effect in action!
Frankly I am far more concerned about antibiotic resistant infections/diseases wiping us off the planet than anything else.
Reminds me of a poem I learned in lit class:
Some say the world will end in ice
Some say it will end in fire
But Michelle Obama has got a big butt
And that James Hansen is a d-bag liar
LMFAO!!!
